DAMSEL

Damsel was directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and written by Dan Mazeau. The movie was released on March 8, 2024. The cast includes Millie Bobby Brown (Princess Elodie), Nick Robinson (Prince Henry), Robin Wright (Queen Isabelle), Ray Winstone (Lord Bayford),Angela Bassett (Lady Bayford), Brooke Carter (Floria) and Shohreh Aghdashloo (Dragon).

I am very interesting to watch this movie because before I watch this movie I just watch cartoons like Tom & Jerry, Spongebob and ect. In this movie has many adventures of a woman named Elodie. Elodie is the eldest daughter of Lord Bayford. This movie tells the story of Princess Elodie who wants to change the fate of her people from hunger. Then she marries Prince Henry, who can help her people from starvation, but instead she is trapped in an ancient tradition that requires her to become a sacrifice for dragon. After the wedding, Princess Elodie is sent to a cave to perform a ritual and is banished as a sacrifice to the dragon.

The movie depicts the perseverance and courage of a bride-to-be warrior in the face of dangerous situations. Director Fresnadillo manages to create a tense and dramatic atmosphere throughout the film. The beautiful cinematography shows the contrast between the natural beauty of Aurea's kingdom and the darkness of the cave where Elodie is trapped. The visual effects, especially in the depiction of dragon, create tense moments that keep the audience involved in Elodie's adventure. Millie Bobby Brown's performance as Elodie also received positive attention, where she managed to show the character's emotions and resilience well.

Overall, "Damsel" is an engaging movie with a moving story and stunning visuals. Although there are some story elements that may feel clichéd or illogical, the movie still provides an exciting and entertaining viewing experience. With a mix of action, drama, and fantasy elements, Damsel manages to create a story that is not only entertaining, but also delivers a message about the strength and courage of women in the face of adversity.
