The novel "Guru Aini" by Andrea Hirata is an inspiring and profound story. The story follows the journey of Desi Istiqomah, a dedicated math teacher, in teaching in an isolated rural area. Despite having the potential to pursue a career as a doctor or a model, Desi chooses to serve as a teacher. This shows her strong commitment to her chosen profession.

The story also tells the story of Aini, a student who initially feared and struggled with math. Aini dreams of becoming a doctor to help her ailing father. (It motivates me that even when you are in the face of the most difficult things, you will definitely get what you work hard for). Through dedication and hard work, Aini begins to understand math and eventually becomes Desi's favorite student.

The most interesting thing about this novel is how Andrea Hirata describes it with a simple plot and yet has a deep message. In addition, the elements of humor and satire about poverty and the education system make this novel not only touch the heart, but also make readers think about everyday life.

Desi and Aini are very complex and dynamic main characters. Desi is portrayed as an idealistic, loving and dedicated teacher. While Aini, at first considered stupid in math, slowly begins to understand the lesson thanks to Desi's guidance. The relationship between Desi and Aini is not just about teaching and learning; they inspire each other and change each other's destinies.

Overall, "Guru Aini" is an inspiring and educational work of literature. Its complex and dynamic story, as well as its strong educational values, make it worth reading for all. This novel is not only about education, but also about the hopes and dreams that can be achieved through hard work and dedication. Therefore, I highly recommend this novel to anyone who wants to experience the joy and inspiration of the story of a dedicated teacher and student.
